Bleu

Decorative arts - Sculptures - Stained glass windows

3 March 2012 to 26 June 2012

Neutral, pacific, consensual, blue is France’s favourite colour. It reminds us of the sky, the sea, and infinity. Omnipresent in our environment, blue is also present in artistic fields. Cobalt pigments are often used to colour glass into an infinite range of shades in the fields of decorative arts, sculpture, and stained-glass windows.

With fifty works of art created in France over the past thirty years, our Conches Glass Museum is proud to present the use of this colour in contemporary glass arts.
