Medal given to Barlach Heuer

Barlach Heuer, an art connoisseur, has donated Art Nouveau and Art Déco glass objects for the past five years to our Conches Glass Museum. Amongst them are some works by François Décorchemont in pâte de verre (a jar, vase, bowl, stained-glass window, etc.). These recent acquisitions have helped us to refit the room devoted to this artist born in Conches, and it now has a selection of his models, his glass art objects and his stained-glass windows.

When the New Décorchemont Room was opened, local governmental officials gave the keys to the City to Barlach Heuer, the generous donor. This grand opening was followed by a concert given by Elsa and Alice Mionet, who interpreted a piece by Gabriel Fauré, followed by another one by Gastav Malher.
