Barlach Heuer

Prints and stained-glass windows

18 June 2016 to 14 August 2016

An amateur Art Nouveau - Art Déco collector and generous donor to our Conches Glass Museum, Barlach Heuer is also an artist-painter and engraver. He has produced prints since the 1960s, inspired by nature, with often an unexpected, utopic, or even fantastic representation. Land or skyscapes are also abstract and often reveal a mystical and cosmological vision that the artist has of life. During his career, he worked with many other artists, including François Décorchemont, the master-glassmaker from Conches, and they produced seven stained-glass windows together in 1965 and 1966. In this exhibition organised by our Conches Glass Museum, two stained-glass windows from this collaboration are exhibited with his prints in the Tanneries du Pays de Conches Museum.
